This only comes as a surprise to those who don’t pay attention to detail, or simply don’t watch Family Guy very often.  In an interview with Playboy magazine (on stands now), Seth McFarlane states

We had an episode that went all the way to the script phase in which Stewie does come out … But we decided it’s better to keep it vague, which makes more sense because he’s a one-year-old. Ultimately, Stewie will be gay or a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he’s so hellbent on killing [his mother, Lois] and taking over the world: He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation.

I don’t believe anyone is too surprised by this, as it has always been a lingering question in the minds of many.  Check the video above for outright proof that Stewie is gay.  What do you think?  Should Stewie come out in later episodes?  Or is it better leaving it as is?
